We had a fantastic stay at the hotel. The kitchen and bedroom furniture were of excellent quality, and the decor was lovely. The inflatables provided added to the fun. The hotel also had a Tikki outdoor eating section, hot tub, and sauna, making it a perfect getaway. The host was attentive and contacted us before our arrival. The smart TVs in every room were a nice touch, and the village with a nearby pub was charming.
The breakfast experience could have been improved with a wider variety of options.

We spent a wonderful Christmas at this hotel. the quality of the kitchen and bedroom furniture was excellent and the pictures and decorations were lovely. It was great to have a safe and clean space for my boys to swim and they absolutely loved playing with the inflatables provided. the location of the hotel was perfect for exploring the surrounding area, with easy access to various attractions.
There were a few aspects of our stay that could have been improved. the bungalow looked a bit rundown from the outside and the gardens were overgrown.

I got great value for my money at this hotel. The room was top-notch, with excellent kitchen and bedroom furniture, lovely decorations, and even a large smart TV in every bedroom. The location was perfect, with a secure garden for my dog and a little shop and pub nearby. The highlight of our stay was definitely the swimming pool, which was a treat for my boys after not being able to swim for a year. They loved playing with the inflatables provided. We didn't get to fully enjoy the garden due to the rain, but it looked fabulous with a Tikki outdoor eating section and a hot tub and sauna!
The only thing that could make the breakfast better is if they added a more diverse menu with some additional options.

The pool at Tan Y Gaer was absolutely amazing - clean, warm, and perfect for a refreshing swim. The hot tub was also great for relaxation. The kids had a blast in the games room, playing pool and table tennis. The house itself had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The location in a quiet village was peaceful, yet still convenient with a short drive into town. The well-stocked village shop was a nice bonus. I had a fantastic time and would recommend this property to others.
There were a couple of minor issues during my stay. The beds could have been more comfortable with thicker mattress toppers.

We had a fantastic stay at this . The room was clean, spacious, and had all the amenities we needed, including a mini fridge. It was also very modern and had a comfortable bed with extra cushions. The location was perfect, as everything was within walking distance, including the train station, which was just a 20-minute walk away. The staff were exceptional and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. They recommended numerous delicious restaurants and the hotel itself was spotlessly clean. this place exceeded our expectations and we would definitely book again.
No negatives from this place.

The room at Tan Y Gaer was absolutely amazing! It had not just one, but two bathrooms fitted with a hot tub. I mean, who wouldn't want to relax in a hot tub after a long day of exploring? The showers were also great for quick refreshing moments. As a backpacker, having these luxurious amenities made me feel like a king!
Although everything was great, personally, I found one tiny thing less appealing. The design of the bathrooms was a bit outdated.

The garden was also a highlight, providing a great space for relaxation and fun activities. the location of the hotel was convenient, being close to both the village shop and a pleasant river walk. the hotel offered great amenities and a convenient location for a city trip.
There were a few issues during our stay. there was a lack of towels in the bathroom, which was inconvenient for our group.
